(MALIN+GOETZ) is a New York-based skincare and perfume line that creates modern, unisex products for hair, body and skin. Their existing retail stores reflect a modernization of traditional neighborhood apothecary concepts in typically clean and simple environments.

Referring to iconic cultural touch points nearby as well as the rich catalogue of the Upper West Side's residential architecture, the boutique’s environment is intimate, modern, and warm. Metal shelving evokes the champagne glow of the ceiling of the New York State Theater at Lincoln Center just south on Broadway, while a richly textured coffered wood ceiling and minimalist parquet floor references the vernacular detailing and layering of many Upper West Side apartments.

Custom lighting designed to reference the company's plus-shaped logo is integrated within the coffers while chain metal curtains at the storefront can be drawn or opened to provide privacy, softness, and intrigue.These details connect the cultural sophistication and domestic familiarity within the neighborhood to the showcasing of its healthy, distinct product display.
